WhatsApp is working to bring a much-needed feature – filtering chats – to it’s mobile clients soon. This has been available in the WhatsApp Business client for quite a time.

Filtering chats will let users segregate the chats into various categories, like groups, contacts, non-contacts, and unread conversations, making it easier for users to find what they want quickly.

Being involved in a number of groups or having a lot of friends on WhatsApp can make the app messy. Thus, WhatsApp released a filtering option for it’s Business users, which would make it easier to find the right chat quickly.

This option appeared when Business users open the search box, letting him filter through the chats with specifications for unread messages, contacts, non-contacts, and groups. The same is coming to regular WhatsApp users, as seen by the WaBetaInfo.

WhatsApp has recently rolled out message reactions, and increased limits for media sharing and group participants, with multiple-device support, Communities, etc features in the pipeline.
