The popular instant messaging app WhatsApp introduced many new features for voice messages that makes the user experience a lot better. Some users have already started receiving these new features, the company said that these new features will be available to all users in the coming days.

WhatsApp voice messages new features:

The app has been on a roll since 2021 as it had launched many new features and options for it’s users. Some were new and some were just inspired or borrowed from other social media platforms and messaging services. All the newly added features made the user experience much better and the new features to the voice notes are no different.

The platform launched the voice message features in 2013 and since then it is among the most used feature within the app. As per WhatsApp, on average, 7 billion voice messages were exchanged between users on a daily basis and that is a huge amount. And these voice messages also have end-to-end encryption just like the text messages, voice calls, and video calls on the app.

Here is the list of features that are added to voice Messages on WhatsApp:

Out of Chat Playback: Listen to a voice message outside of the chat so you can multitask or read and respond to other messages.

Pause/Resume Recording: When recording a voice message, you can now pause the recording and resume when ready, in case you’re interrupted or need to gather your thoughts.

Waveform Visualization: Shows a visual representation of the sound on the voice message to help follow the recording.

Draft Preview: Listen to your voice messages before sending them.

Remember Playback: If you pause when listening to a voice message, you can pick up where you left off when you return to the chat.

Fast Playback on Forwarded Messages: Play voice messages at 1.5x or 2x speeds to listen to messages faster on both regular and forwarded messages.
