Windows 11 will get a redesigned start menu and a new UI

Windows 11

Windows 11 has been in news for quite some time and is being anticipated that Microsoft will reveal the OS on June 24. The company has sent the invitation to tech geek and media personality for the June 24 event where they will announce the new OS.

However, before the release or the official announcement, some screenshots have been leaked of the upcoming OS.

The screenshots first appeared on Baidu, then the complete look of the Windows 11 leaked online. The leaked images gave us the major design look of the OS and shows what Microsoft is planning for the next OS.

From the leaked images, the user interface and start menu of the OS looks very similar to Windows 10X. Microsoft has originally planned Windows 10X for dual-screen devices like Surface Duo or for tablets. But this year, the company has canceled Windows 10X, and analysts believe it was canceled to pave way for Windows 11.

The new OS completely changes the taskbar and start menu as anyone can notice from the start. Instead of the left cornered start menu icon and app icons, the icons have moved to the center position of the taskbar. The taskbar now looks fresher and more minimal as well as they completely change the start menu including the start menu icon.

The new start menu is now simpler than the one found in Windows 10. The company has removed the live tile option found in the previous version. The start menu shows recent files, pinned apps, and options to swiftly shut down or restart the device. It looks more clean, fresh, and simple than the previous version.

If you don’t like the new centered position icons in the taskbar then you can always move it to the left corner as found in the previous version. With the dark mode turned on Windows 11 start menu looks more refined and a better version than its predecessor.

Microsoft also included the rounded corner theme in the OS. Rounded corners are noticeable in apps, file explorer, menus. The new start menu also has a rounded corner. The leaked images refer to the early version of Windows 11 so many things might change when this goes official for everybody.

We also hope to see many other visual changes in this OS especially with the default apps of the OS. But those changes aren’t appearing yet in the leaked images.

In the taskbar, a new widget icon appears next to the search button and leaks show that Microsoft is planning to bring back the widget feature in the OS.
