Yesterday, we informed our readers that Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI for it’s Galaxy S22 series, S21 series and Z Fold 5 for users in South Korea. It was also mentioned that this One UI 6.1 update will soon be available for users in other countries.
The main feature of this year’s One UI 6.1 is the inclusion of Galaxy AI which brings some amazing AI capabilities to Samsung smartphones. With the One UI 6.1 update, these AI capabilities present in this year’s Galaxy S24 series have reached some of the oldest Samsung flagship smartphones from the years 2022 and 2021. Now, if you are a user of the Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series, there is bad news, as you have to wait much longer to get the latest One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI based on Android 14.
Users in South Korea who get the latest One UI 6.1 OTA update face major bugs after updating their smartphones. One user posted on Samsung’s community forum that his device is showing a white screen after the device is unlocked and it isn’t going away, making the device unusable.
Some Galaxy S22 users also posted in Samsung’s Korean community that their device’s touchscreen isn’t working on the device’s lock screen. After facing such an issue, they have to factory reset their device to be able to use the device as they have no other option.
After such posts on the community forum, it seems like the South Korean smartphone giant has pulled back the One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy S22 devices. Samsung also hasn’t responded to the user’s complaint as yet.
If you haven’t updated your device then you have to wait much longer now to get the stable OTA update. But the good news is that the new stable update will fix all the bugs and make the user experience much better. For those of you who don’t know, the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S23 series also came out with some bugs which were later fixed through new updates.
Surprisingly, the bugs were found on the Galaxy S22 update. The Galaxy S21 series, Z Fold 4,\ and other Galaxy smartphone users who get the One UI 6.1 update for their smartphones aren’t facing any such issues.
