Oppo Find X9 Ultra Emerges Ahead of Launch with Camera-Focused Design and Flagship Specs

Oppo is gearing up to release its much anticipated flagship, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra on April 21 in China and select global markets. However, the smartphone’s live images already leaked ahead of launch. The device appears to follow the design language seen in earlier leaks but introduces a premium faux leather back, giving it a distinctive, camera-inspired aesthetic. The prominent circular camera module on the rear, coupled with visible Hasselblad branding, shows its strong focus on photography.

The large camera island is expected to house a powerful quad-camera system capable of covering an impressive 14mm to 230mm focal range. Among the highlights is a rumored 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 10x optical zoom. Oppo is reportedly marketing this as a “built-in teleconverter,” aimed at delivering professional-grade zoom capabilities. This sensor is said to be a custom Samsung JNL unit with an f/3.5 aperture.

In addition, the Find X9 Ultra may feature a 200MP primary camera using Sony’s LYT-901 sensor, alongside another 200MP sensor dedicated to 3x optical zoom. Completing the setup is a 50MP ultrawide lens, representing a versatile imaging system designed to excel across various shooting scenarios.

Beyond the camera hardware, the smartphone is expected to pack flagship-level specifications. It is rumored to sport a large 6.82-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring an immersive viewing experience. The Find X9 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with a massive 7,050mAh battery, paired with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
