Xiaomi Pad 9 Could Launch Soon With Bigger Battery and Snapdragon Chipset, Certification Listing Reveals

Xiaomi appears to be preparing the launch of its next-generation flagship tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 9 series, as the base Xiaomi Pad 9 has been surfaced on China’s 3C certification platform. While the company has not officially announced the tablet, the certification listing and fresh leaks suggest that its debut could take place later this year alongside the upcoming Xiaomi 18 Series.

According to well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, a Xiaomi tablet carrying the model number M656BA has appeared on the 3C certification database, and it is believed to be the Xiaomi Pad 9. The listing indicates that the tablet will support 45W wired fast charging, matching the charging speed of its predecessor.

The tipster has also shared several key specifications. The Xiaomi Pad 9 is expected to feature a 9,720mAh battery, a small upgrade over the 9,200mAh battery found in the Xiaomi Pad 8. The larger battery should provide longer screen-on time, making the device more suitable for gaming, entertainment, and productivity tasks.

Performance is also expected to receive an upgrade. The Xiaomi Pad 9 is rumored to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8-series chipset, although the exact processor has not yet been revealed. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro is expected to deliver even stronger performance, likely with a more powerful flagship processor and additional premium features.
