“Like a G6, like a G6”.
Maybe it’s not the first time you hear that LG is preparing a “cheap” version of its flagship flagship phone, the LG G6, and it turns out to be true, on this occasion LG broadcasts press material about the announcement of flagship-style cellphones with this more economical price tag.
The latest variant of this LG mobile is called the LG Q6, LG Q6 + and LG Q6a. It’s not called the LG G6 Mini, because if you read through this article until it runs out, it’s no wonder that these phones don’t deserve to be labeled with the same name as the hero.
Even though the name isn’t the same, you don’t need to be discouraged first, because it looks in the mirror of the LG G6, LG still offers a few similarity points that are applied to this LG Q6 series. One of them is none other than the FullVision screen design which has thin edges with an unusual screen ratio (at least until now), 18: 9. This IPS type screen has a size of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 2160 × 1080. Some materials were also likened, for example, to the use of a 7000 series aluminum frame to maintain the rigidity of the cellphone that LG had previously advocated in its G6.
Unfortunately, in order to keep the price tag cheaper, LG was forced to make sacrifices. One of them is in the crucial sector, the use of SoC is reduced to the Snapdragon 435 series with a combination of RAM and ROM size options, each of 3GB / 32GB for LG Q6, 2GB / 16GB for LG Q6a, and 4GB / 64GB for LG Q6 +. Do not stop there, LG also eliminates the dual rear camera configuration that previously existed on the LG G6, the LG Q6 will only be equipped with a 13 MP single sensor at the rear, while in front of the camera will continue to use a 5 MP sensor.
Even though the battery capacity has also shrunk to 3000mAh, LG still seems to be trying to bring complete connectivity in the Q6 series. Evidenced by the existence of Wi-Fi b / g / n, Bluetooth v4.2, support for LTE / 3G / 2G network connectivity and the presence of NFC. LG Q6 series itself will be present in August, but unfortunately LG apparently does not want to spit on how much the price will be offered.
