Vivo X300 Ultra Tipped to Launch in India on May 7; Sales May Begin May 14

Vivo is gearing up to release its anticipated Vivo X300 Ultra very soon in India. This will be the company’s first-ever Ultra flagship, which is making its way to the global market and India. As per @smartprix, Vivo X300 Ultra is reportedly set to launch in India on May 7, and the first sale will start from May 14.

The Vivo X300 Ultra features a 6.82-inch 2K BOE Q10+ 8T LTPO flat display with a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering extremely smooth scrolling and gaming performance. The display supports 1800 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM) and 2160Hz PWM dimming. Just like every Vivo Ultra device, the X300 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, delivering exceptional performance for multitasking, gaming, and AI workloads. The smartphone runs Android 16 with OriginOS 16 on top.

The biggest highlights of the Vivo X300 Ultra are its advanced camera system. The phone features a 200MP Sony LYTIA LYT-901 1/1.12 inch primary sensor with optical image stabilization and a CIPA 6.5 rating. It is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera using the Sony LYT-818 sensor with OIS and a 200MP Samsung HP0 periscope telephoto camera offering a CIPA 7.0 stabilization rating for long-distance photography. The setup also includes a 5MP multispectral sensor to enhance color accuracy. The camera system is also backed by Vivo’s VS1+ imaging chip and ZEISS optical coating, further improving image quality, contrast, and glare control. For selfies, the device includes a 50MP Samsung JN5 front camera.

Vivo is also offering teleconverter accessories that extend the zoom range further. The larger attachment reaches a 400mm equivalent focal length with up to 17.4x optical output, while a smaller version is designed to be easier to carry.

The device also has a 6600mAh battery, which supports 100W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. In terms of durability, the smartphone comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. The Black variant measures 8.19mm thick and weighs 232g, while the Green and Silver models are slightly thicker at 8.49mm and weigh 237g.
