REDMI Note 17 Series Debuts in China with Massive Batteries, 7-Inch OLED Display, and Snapdragon 4nm Chips

Xiaomi has officially launched the REDMI Note 17 series in China, introducing the REDMI Note 17 and REDMI Note 17 Pro. The new lineup focuses on long battery life, larger displays, and improved durability.

The standard REDMI Note 17 features a massive 7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,800 nits peak brightness, and support for wet and glove touch. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, along with microSD card support.

One of its biggest highlights is the huge 8,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. Camera specification is backed by a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing shooter.

The REDMI Note 17 Pro brings a more premium experience with a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display offering 12-bit color, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, DC dimming, and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. It runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

Despite its smaller display, the Pro packs an even larger 9,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It also features stereo speakers, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and flagship-level IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water resistance.

Both smartphones feature a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera, with the Pro adding a 2MP depth sensor. The REDMI Note 17 starts at CNY 1,299 (around Rs. 18,500), while the REDMI Note 17 Pro starts at CNY 1,599 (around Rs. 22,700) in China. Global and India launch details are yet to be announced.
