Flipper Zero, the most hyped toy for tech enthusiasts lately, is addressing it’s stock shortage issues and will be available for a regular price soon.
The company making Flipper Zero claims to have rebuilt it’s entire logistical infrastructure to address the challenges, including chip shortage. This should bring the devices back to their original price, which would otherwise be selling at multifold prices.
The Great Flipper Zero Shortage
If you’re a tech enthusiast, you must have heard about Flipper Zero somewhere by now. The handheld device from a Russian company that’s making rounds in the technology space, especially among the cybersecurity people.
With a tiny screen and a handful of controls, the device can interact and tweak with most digital interfaces – like emulating RFID and NFC cards, analysing radio protocols, imitating remote controls and much more.
Dubbed a “digital Swiss Army knife”, Flipper Zero is seen as a remote hacking tool and a learning device based on your actions and this flexibility harmed it’s success, as the devices ran out of stock everywhere – pushing third-party sellers to quote unscrupulous prices for resales.
Well, all this trend will settle soon, as the maker of Flipper Zero – Flipper Devices claims to have sorted out the shortage issues, including chip availability. Saying that sales of Flipper Zero grew fourfold between January and June 2023, the maker says they had rebuilt the entire logistical infrastructure to settle logistics issues.
This means the devices will soon be in stock for their regular price – at $169 and typically be delivered in 2-7 days. You can also get a Wi-Fi dev board for an additional $29 if interested in wireless penetration testing and other related experiments.
