Samsung and SKT have recently collaborated and has introduced a unique smartphone called The Galaxy A Quantum. The device comes with built-in Quantum Security (Quantum Random number generator) and 5G capabilities.
The Samsung Galaxy A Quantum features the world’s smallest (2.5 x 2.5mm) quantum random number generator (QRNG) chipset that allows smartphone users to utilize a specific service by generating unpredictable and pattern-less pure random numbers.
The smartphone features ID Double login, SK Pay biometric authentication and blockchain mobile electronic authentication service. The Quantum chipset generates random encryption keys used in three services and are passed through encryption-decryption process and the date is stored or exchanged however when encryption key is necessary.
The device comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and is powered by Exynos 980 processor. Dimensional specs feature a 152.5 x 75.5 x 8.1 mm and weighs 185 grams.
The Samsung galaxy A Quantum comes with a 32MP front camera along with F/2.2 Aperture. On the rear end there is a quad camera setup along with LED Flash. It consists of a 64MP (main, F/1.8) + 12MP (123-degree wide angle- F/2.2) + 5MP (Telephoto / Macro, F/2.2) + 5MP (depth, F/2.4) sensors.
Connectivity specs will feature a 5G / dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.0, USB Type-C and GPS support.
The Samsung Galaxy A Quantum is currently priced at KRW 649,000 (USD$530 / €490) and will be available in the colours of Black, Silver and Blue. Sale commences on the 22nd of May whilst the pre-bookings commences in South Korea from the 15th of May.
