Last year, REDMI launched its flagship REDMI K90 Series, which received high praise for its performance and speaker quality. Now, REDMI is actively developing next-generation K series smartphones, tentatively called the REDMI K100 Series. The series will have 2 devices, namely K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which will debut this year, with K100 Max/K100 Ultra to be launched next year. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed several impressive hardware details about the top-end REDMI K100 Pro Max. The smartphone is expected to bring major upgrades in display, battery life, and audio performance, making it one of the most ambitious REDMI devices yet.
According to the leak, the REDMI K100 Pro Max could feature a massive 6.9-inch display with an experimental 185Hz refresh rate on its engineering sample. If finalized for mass production, this would make it one of the highest-refresh-rate displays ever seen on a smartphone. The device is said to use a large-radius 2D pure flat screen design with rounded corners, offering a modern and premium appearance.
The design language reportedly continues the signature style of the previous K90 Pro Max, featuring a horizontally aligned matrix-style camera deco with a metallic finish. REDMI is also expected to include a larger X-axis linear motor for improved haptic feedback.
However, one of the standout features could be the audio setup. The leak claims the smartphone will feature master-level symmetrical dual speakers powered by BOSE, promising rich and powerful external sound quality. Battery capacity is another major highlight. The phone is rumored to pack a gigantic 9000mAh battery, which would easily place it among the biggest batteries ever used in a flagship-style smartphone.
