Google Lists How You Can Attain a 24-Hour Battery Life on Pixel Watch

Months before it’s launch, a listing of the Pixel Watch 2 on Google Play Console revealed key details about the upcoming smartwatch, including it’s processor, RAM and OS version.

Google Pixel Watch 2 is said to be running on a Qualcomm SW5100 chip, WearOS 4 and has 2GB RAM. While the screen size is unknown, the display is said to be of 384 × 384 resolution. We expect more details to pour in before it’s official launch later this year.

Pixel Watch 2 Leaks

Google’s first-gen smartwatch, Pixel Watch, is launched as a premium gadget despite several shortcomings like running an outdated OS and lacklustre battery life. Yet, it’s one of the best smartwatches to pair with an Android device, especially the Pixel handsets, which makes a good ecosystem.

Well, to enhance that, Google is set to release it’s next-gen smartwatch – Pixel Watch 2, sometime later this year. While official confirmation of it’s launch is unknown, the upcoming smartwatch was spotted on Google Play Console this week, as noted by 9to5Google.

This listing revealed key details like the Pixel Watch 2 having a Qualcomm SW5100 processor, running on WearOS 4 and sporting 2GB RAM. These specs are leaps ahead of it’s predecessor, especially on the chipset part, where Pixel Watch uses an Exynos SoC.

Further, the upcoming smartwatch’s display is said to have a 320ppi and 384 × 384 resolution, while the screen size remains unknown. Though all these specifications make it a significant gadget, it still has to compete against the best smartwatches, led by the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.

Well, we never know how competitive the Pixel Watch 2 can be unless we have all the official specs revealed and since it’s expected to come alongside the new Pixel 8 Series, launching sometime in October, we have plenty of time to learn more from leaks.
