Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K100 series seems to be preparing to bring one of the biggest battery upgrades ever seen in a performance-focused smartphone lineup. According to a new leak from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, a “sub-brand flagship” from an unnamed manufacturer is currently testing a massive 10,000mAh± battery. While the exact device has not been confirmed, many users and industry insiders believe it could be related to the upcoming Redmi K100 series.
The Redmi K-series has traditionally focused on delivering flagship-level performance at competitive prices, and this new battery leak suggests Xiaomi may be taking the lineup in a more premium direction. Earlier leaks hinted that the Redmi K100 series could feature batteries exceeding 8,000mAh, but a 10,000mAh-class battery would represent a major jump and could make the device one of the strongest performers in terms of battery life.
Previous leaks suggest that the Redmi K100 series may include other impressive specifications, including a high-refresh-rate display reportedly reaching 185Hz, a powerful Snapdragon flagship chipset, wireless charging support, improved water resistance, BOSE-powered symmetrical dual speakers, and a 200MP primary camera.
