REDMI is actively developing next-generation K series smartphones, tentatively called the REDMI K100 Series. The series will have 2 devices, namely K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which will debut this year. As per a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station, the REDMI K100 Pro could introduce several flagship-level features previously unseen on a standard REDMI K model.
According to the leak, the REDMI K100 Pro may feature a flat display with an impressive 185Hz refresh rate, potentially making it one of the highest refresh rate smartphone screens on the market. The device is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising significant improvements in performance, efficiency, and AI capabilities.
Battery life could be another major highlight. The tipster hints that the phone’s battery capacity will begin with the number “8,” supporting earlier reports that suggested a massive 8,500mAh battery. The device is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging. Perhaps the most notable upgrade is the inclusion of 50W wireless charging, also making it the first base REDMI K smartphone with wireless charging support.
In terms of design, the phone is tipped to feature a premium build with a glass back panel and a metal frame. Other peripheral specifications include symmetrical stereo speakers powered by BOSE, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
