Vivo is gearing up to release its next-generation foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 6 by the end of this month in China. The brand has already given multiple teasers with a strong focus on premium photography, flagship performance, and advanced display technology. The upcoming foldable is expected to bring several industry-first features, including a powerful camera setup and upgraded multitasking capabilities.

The biggest highlight of the Vivo X Fold 6 is its camera system. The device is said to feature a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope main camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and an f/1.68 aperture. The main camera is expected to offer CIPA 4.5-grade stabilisation, helping users capture sharper images and smoother zoom shots. Moreover, it will also have a 50MP 1/1.95 inch Sony LYT-602 sensor for the telephoto camera, further improving image quality. It will reportedly use a ZEISS APO-certified periscope telephoto lens, combined with Vivo ZEISS Teleconverter G2 support, allowing the phone to achieve up to 200mm equivalent focal length for enhanced long-distance photography.
The foldable smartphone is also expected to feature Vivo’s dedicated V3+ imaging chip, which will assist with advanced computational photography and video processing.
On the display front, the Vivo X Fold 6 is rumoured to feature an 8.02-inch foldable inner display powered by Samsung’s M14 emissive material, which would reportedly make it the first foldable smartphone to use this panel technology. Both the inner and outer screens are expected to offer flagship-level quality with up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. The phone may also include a 1-nit ultra-low brightness mode and TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification for improved viewing comfort.
The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with Vivo’s OriginOS 6 Fold software. The updated system may introduce an upgraded Atomic Workbench multitasking feature, offering better productivity on the large foldable screen.
