iQOO has officially teased the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15R, for the Indian market. The smartphone will be a cheaper version of the flagship iQOO 15 but still packed with cutting-edge hardware, a massive battery, and performance.
At the core of the iQOO 15R is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with the Q2 dedicated gaming chip and Adreno 829 GPU. This setup promises top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI workloads. The phone is further equipped with LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6, delivering a smooth and feature-rich software experience.
The device features a 6.59-inch 1.5K 144Hz LTPS OLED display from TCL CSOT C9+, with 1800 nits HBM brightness, and 4320Hz PWM dimming. On the camera front, the iQOO 15R boasts a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary sensor with OIS and CIPA 4.5 stabilization, supported by an 8MP secondary camera and a 32MP front camera for selfies. The device is also expected to carry a 7600mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging.
On the design front, the phone sports a metal frame with a glass back, measures just 7.9mm thick, and weighs 202g. It also offers IP68 and IP69 ratings, a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and advanced 4D gaming vibration with an X-axis linear motor.
