Moto X40 announced with SD 8 Gen 2 Chipset and 165Hz display

Motorola is the latest OEM to announce a smartphone with the latest and most excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset after Xiaomi and Vivo. The smartphone is Moto X40 and along with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, it comes with a 165Hz fast refresh rate display, 125W fast charging, and much more. Check out the detailed specifications below.

Moto X40 specifications:

The device sports a 6.7-inch curved HD+ display that supports a fast 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, DC dimming, and 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution.  The Moto X40 is powered by the latest and greatest Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 based on TSMC 4nm fabrication. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.

There is a triple rear camera setup housed in a square camera module. The camera module has two big circular camera rings for the two cameras and one small circle for the third camera and a dual-tone LED flashlight. The camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 12MO telephoto lens. For selfies, there is a 60MP shooter housed at the punch-hole cutout at the top center of the display.

The device has a 4600 mAH battery that supports 125W wired fast charging. As per the OEM, the device can be charged 50% in 7 minutes with the included charger in the retail box. It runs on Android 13 out of the box.

Furthermore, the device comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a 3,002mm2 VC cooling system, USB Type C, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 6, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and more.

Pricing:

The base 8GB + 128GB variant starts at CNY 3,399, the 8GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 3,699, the 12GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 3,999, and the 12GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 4,299. The device is available in Tourmaline Blue, and Smoky Black color options and is available for sale in China as of now.
