A month after it’s official announcement, Samsung has now brought the Galaxy A23 5G to the US. This is the same handset that launched five months ago, but with 4G connectivity.
So the only change users get to see in the updated piece is it’s 5G connectivity support, with the rest all remaining the same as it’s 4G counterpart. This handset comes in only one storage and color variant and is placed in the lower mid-range segment.
Samsung Galaxy A23 5G Specifications
Starting up with it’s display, the all-new Galaxy A23 5G has a 6.6″ FullHD+ LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate. It sports a dew drop design to house the front camera, which is an 8MP module.
On the rear, it has a quad-camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a couple of 2MP lenses as macro and depth sensors. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 695 SoC coupled with Adreno 619 GPU that supports all 13 5G bands. This is the only upgrade Samsung did to A23 4G to make it 5G.

On the software part, it runs on Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, gyro, compass, accelerometer, and barometer. With all essential connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and Type-C, this Galaxy A23 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging of 25W.
While it only in 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage configuration, there’s a slot for a microSD card to increase that capacity up to 1TB! Priced at $300 and available in only a black color variant, this handset’s unlocked version can be purchased from Samsung’s official website or through any of Samsung’s Experience Stores across the US.
Also, it’s available from AT&T, T-Mobile, and additional retailers with locked carrier plans.
