Sony Xperia 1 II with 6.5-inch CinemaWide 4K display, SD86, 8GB RAM announced

Sony has recently introduced the Xperia 1 II or the Sony Xperia 1 MX I flagship smartphones. It will feature dual SIM capability and will support 5G along with Dual 4G VoLTE. It will come with a fingerprint and will feature IP65 / IP68 water resistant ratings.

The Sony Xperia 1 II will boast a 6.5-inch CinemaWide HDR OLED display with offers 3840 x 1644 pixels resolution at 21:9 aspect ratio. It will feature a HDR screen along with DCI-P3 color gamut and houses Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.

The smartphone will come packed with an octa-core Snapdragon 865 mobile platform along with 8GB of RAM. It comes with 256GB ROM which can be expanded upon up to 1TB. It will feature hybrid slot, however it will not be for a dedicated MicroSD card slot. The smartphone will be powered by a 4000 mAh battery along with fast charging capability.

The Sony Xperia 1 II camera specifications will feature a quad-rear camera setup along with legendary ZEISS quality lenses and ZEISS T Coating. It will also feature a combination of 12MP (F/2.2, 16mm) + 12MP (F/2.4, 70mm) + 3D iToT + 12MP (F/1.7, 24mm) cameras. They can cap 20fps continuous burst shots complete along with auto focus and auto exposure. The smartphone is said to continously calculate auto focus and exposure up to 60 times per second for clear shots. It will feature Dual Photo Diode sensor that will give accurate and fast focusing. There will also be Sony’s innovative 3D iToF Indirect Time-of-Flight sensor takes low light shots. Selfies are taken with an 8MP front camera.

The Xperia 1 II comes with stereo speakers and will give Hi-Res sound with Dolby Atmos. It also has 360 Reality Audio along with unique hardware decoding to optimize sound quality when listening to music on Tidal. Digital music is upscaled with DSEE Ultimate.
