VIVO has officially introduced their newest concept smartphone called the APEX 2020. It will be a successor to last years APEX 2019 smartphone and will come with some impressive features.

The handset dimension specifications will feature a 157.25 x 66.2 x 8.8 mm and weigh about 169 grams. The device will run on Android 10. No physical buttons will be on the APEX 2020. However there will be a pressure-sensing power button whilst the volume is adjustable utilizing a pop-up menu.

The VIVO APEX 2020 will come packed with a 6.45-inch 120° FullView Edgeless display along with 2330 x 1080 pixels resolution. This simple means that there are no side bezels. The display bends at 120° angle around the sides and will feature 3rd generation SoundCasting Technology.

The front camera will come with an in-display 16MP front camera which is hidden and only appears when in use. It will feature a 4-in-1 super-pixel photosensitive chip and an algorithm that optimizes the pictures to ensure quality selfie photos. The light transmittance of the screen above the front camera has been increased by 6 times, this was officially said by VIVO.

On the rear end there is a dual camera setup. It will feature a 48MP primary rear shooter with Gimbal-like structure which offers Optical stabilization in all directions. VIVO claims that the stabilization is 200% greater than the OIS seen in other smartphones. The 16MP secondary rear camera features a 5x to 7.5x continuous optical zoom. It consists of a 4-group lens combination along with two fixed groups and two movable groups to gain a high magnification continuous zoom and in real-time focus. These cameras will use leading multi-frame algorithm coupled with 6.2mm thick periscope structure to even further enhance image quality.

The VIVO APEX 2020 specifications will come packed with an Octa-Core Snapdragon 865 mobile platform along with Adreno 650 GPU. It will feature a 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM however cannot be expanded upon. The exact battery capacity is not yet known but VIVO did confirm support for 60W Wireless Super FlashCharge. It should be able to charge the 2000 mAh battery within 20 minutes.

The smartphone will not be 5G SA/NSA bands, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V5.1 and GPS/GLONASS.

The VIVO APEX 2020 will be available in colours of Black and White shades. At this point in time the smartphone is just a concept however there should be similar features in VIVO’s next generation flagships.
