Vivo X300 Ultra Showcased at MWC: Global Debut Confirmed with Powerful New Camera System

In the ongoing MWC event, Vivo has given an exciting sneak peek of its upcoming flagship, the Vivo X300 Ultra. While the device wasn’t officially launched and key specifications remain under wraps, the biggest takeaway is its confirmed global release, marking the first time an Ultra-series vivo flagship will launch outside China.

Instead of revealing the phone’s final design, vivo focused on its next-generation imaging accessories. The highlight was the ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen2 Ultra, a new external lens system that delivers an impressive 400mm equivalent focal length which is double the reach of the extender used with last year’s vivo X200 Ultra photography kit. With in-sensor zoom cropping, the combined system can stretch to 800mm, and vivo claims it can maintain “pristine” detail even at a 1600mm digital crop. The company also said that the setup supports full 200MP optical output, positioning it as one of the most advanced mobile telephoto solutions to date.

Vivo also introduced a Camera Cage accessory that turns the X300 Ultra into a compact video rig. It includes multiple mounting points for add-ons like external flashes, a cooling fan, and a tripod. Physical shutter controls and quick-release ports are provided to give creators a more professional shooting experience. Although official camera specs were not disclosed, earlier leaks suggest a triple camera system. The main sensor is rumored to be a 200MP Sony LYT901, paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto using Samsung’s HPB sensor. An additional 50MP Sony LYT828 ultrawide lens and a multispectral sensor.

The China launch of Vivo X300 Ultra is scheduled this month with a global launch to follow soon.
