Xiaomi has officially confirmed the India launch date of the Xiaomi 17T smartphone. The company announced that the device will debut in the Indian market on June 4, bringing back the popular T series lineup after a significant absence. The last T-series device launched in India was the Xiaomi 11T Pro back in 2022. Since then, Xiaomi has stopped launching any new T-series devices in India.
Earlier this week, Xiaomi revealed that the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro would launch globally on May 28, but the India teaser currently mentions only the standard Xiaomi 17T.
The absence of the Xiaomi 17T Pro from Xiaomi’s Indian promotional campaign suggests that the Pro model may not be launched in India.
While Xiaomi has yet to officially reveal the complete specifications of the two smartphones, the company has shared official renders showcasing their designs. According to leaks and rumors, the Xiaomi 17T is expected to feature a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 17T Pro, on the other hand, is rumored to sport a larger 6.83-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a smoother 144Hz refresh rate.
The Xiaomi 17T is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, promising solid performance and improved power efficiency. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to pack the more powerful Dimensity 9500 processor, positioning it as a premium flagship offering.
