Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 Specifications and Price Leak: 200MP Camera, 6000mAh Battery and New Chipset Rumors

Xiaomi is in the last stage of the development of its next generation foldable smartphone, which is expected to be called as Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 or Xiaomi 18 Fold. Now several key details about the foldable phone’s specifications and pricing have leaked online.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Xiaomi’s upcoming foldable prototype will feature a large flexible inner display measuring between 7.5 and 7.6 inches. The display is said to use a new “seamless-crease” technology, which could help reduce the visible fold line and provide a smoother viewing experience compared to previous foldable devices.

The tipster also mentioned that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 will come equipped with a large 6,000mAh battery, making it one of the higher-capacity batteries among premium foldable smartphones. The device is also expected to support wireless charging. In terms of photography, the foldable phone is rumored to feature a powerful 200MP primary camera. Xiaomi is also said to be focusing on durability, with the device reportedly offering a full water-resistance rating. The Mix Fold 5 may also include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Another major highlight could be Xiaomi’s move toward its own custom chipset. Reports suggest that the company is developing an in-house XRING processor that may power the upcoming foldable smartphone.

However, given the recent smartphone industry, the pricing won’t be cheap. The pricing leak suggests that Xiaomi could position the Mix Fold 5 as a premium flagship device, with an expected price of around CNY 10,000, which is approximately $1,400.
