REDMI K90 Ultra Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite, Built-in Cooling Fan and 8,550mAh Battery

REDMI has officially launched its last device in the K90 line-up, the K90 Ultra, in China, bringing a powerful combination of flagship performance, advanced cooling technology, and gaming-focused features. The REDMI K90 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, offering flagship-level performance. Although it uses the previous-generation flagship processor, REDMI has enhanced the experience with a built-in active cooling fan. The company claims that the integrated cooling system can reduce device temperatures by up to 10°C, helping maintain consistent performance during extended gaming sessions and reducing the chances of thermal throttling. The phone also includes a dedicated D2 gaming interpolation chip designed to improve frame rates and gaming smoothness.

On the front, the device features a large 6.83-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1280 × 2772 resolution. The panel supports a high 165Hz refresh rate, delivers up to 3,500 nits peak brightness, and comes with full-array DC dimming for a more comfortable viewing experience.

For photography, the REDMI K90 Ultra comes with a dual camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary sensor with OIS using a large 1/1.55-inch sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The battery is the major highlight, featuring a massive 8,550mAh battery, one of the biggest capacities in its segment. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The smartphone also features dual symmetrical stereo speakers tuned by Bose and carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for improved protection against dust and water.

The REDMI K90 Ultra is available in Space Silver, Shadow Black, and Sky Blue colour options. Pricing starts at CNY 2,999 (around $441) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while higher configurations go up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at CNY 3,699 (around $544).
