Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO has officially teased the launch of the POCO M8 Power in India. The device is set to offer a combination of a large battery, large AMOLED display, and long-term software support, making it an attractive option in the affordable segment.
The POCO M8 Power will feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage for reliable day-to-day performance.
For photography, the device is equipped with a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. One of the biggest highlights of the POCO M8 Power is its massive 8,000mAh battery, which supports 45W wired fast charging. The large battery capacity is expected to offer excellent endurance, making the phone ideal for heavy users and extended multimedia consumption.
The smartphone will ship with HyperOS 3 out of the box. The device is also said to have an impressive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, ensuring long-term software support rarely seen in this segment.
Other peripherals include an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, and an IR blaster. The device will be available in Orange, Mint, and Black color options. As for the pricing, it is expected to be below Rs 25,000 for the base variant.
