REDMI K100 Pro Max to Launch on August 11; Cabernet Red Variant Officially Revealed

Xiaomi’s sub-brand REDMI has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated REDMI K100 Pro series will launch in China on August 11. Alongside the announcement, the company revealed key details about the lineup, including its launch strategy, product positioning, and the first official look at the premium REDMI K100 Pro Max in a striking Cabernet Red finish.

This year, REDMI is introducing the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max first, while the standard REDMI K100 will arrive at a later date. Xiaomi President Lu Weibing clarified that the delay does not mean the regular model has been cancelled. Instead, it will continue to target users looking for flagship-level performance with a practical and balanced experience.

According to REDMI, rising memory and component costs influenced the company’s decision to adjust its launch schedule. The K100 Pro is positioned as an all-round flagship in the 4,000 Yuan (~$590) price segment, while the K100 Pro Max is designed to set a new benchmark for gaming smartphones.

The REDMI K100 Pro series is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, as previously spotted on Geekbench. The lineup will feature 6.59-inch and 6.9-inch flat displays with an ultra-smooth 185Hz refresh rate. REDMI also claims its new Super Pixel display technology delivers 2K-like visual clarity while consuming power comparable to a 1.5K panel.

The K100 Pro Max is expected to offer flagship hardware, including a 200MP primary camera, 50MP periscope telephoto lens with telemacro support, 9,000mAh battery, 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, IP-rated durability, symmetric stereo speakers, and a Bose-tuned 2.1-channel speaker system.

For global markets, the REDMI K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max are expected to launch as the POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra, respectively.
