ASUS has launched it’s ASUS Zenfone 9, a flagship device with a compact size and a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It is a successor to last year’s Zenfone 8 that also came with a similar style and compact form factor. Let’s have a detailed look at the specifications of the device.
ASUS Zenfone 9 specifications:
The phone is designed for people who love to use small devices. It has a compact form factor so that users can use it with one hand due to it’s form factor. Although, on the rear side are two big camera modules similar to iPhone 12 mini.
On the front is a 5.9-inch AMOLED display with fast 120 Hertz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR10+, 112% DCI P3 color gamut, and up to 1100 nits of maximum brightness. On the top, left corner of the display is a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and the display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
As mentioned earlier, it is powered by the latest and flagship-grade Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with Adreno 730 GPU for graphics-intensive tasks. The chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
On the rear side is a dual camera system that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX363 ultra-wide sensor. The primary sensor comes with a 6 Axis Hybrid Gimbal stabilizer and 2*2 OCL PDAF while the ultra-wide lens comes with a 113-degree field of view and dual PDAF. There is a 12MP selfie shooter in the punch-hole cutout on the display.
The camera system comes with features such as Light Trail, 8K video recording, Portrait mode, Night mode, and much more.
ASUS Zenfone 9 is equipped with a 4300 mAh battery that supports 30W hypercharge fast charging technology and 30W charging is included in the retail box. It comes with stock Android 12 out of the box. Other specifications include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, dual-stereo speaker, an enhanced high-tech vapor chamber cooling system, 3.5 mm audio jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face unlock, and much more.
Pricing:
The phone is priced at €799 and will be available in a few selected markets that include Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, and some South American countries.
