Samsung Officially rolled out One UI 4 beta based on Android 12 for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series. Recently launched, The Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, and few other Galaxy devices will also be added to the list of eligible devices soon.
As mentioned previously it is based on Google’s upcoming Android 12 operating system. According to the company, it will bring improved privacy and better customization along with the nitty and gritty features of the upcoming Google’s OS.
The beta version of the OS is currently available for users in the US, UK, China, Korea and India, Poland, and Germany. It is available starting today i.e., 14th September in the above markets for the eligible devices.
Android 12 features:
Android 12 main focus is on personalization and customization along with improved privacy. There are a plethora of theming and color options in the upcoming OS. There are pill-shaped big icons, different widget styles & shapes, and a privacy indicator that will let users know which app is using Microphones and cameras. How to download and install One UI 4.0:
One thing to keep in mind is that this is the beta version of the OS and not the official version. There might be some bugs available on the OS so it is recommended to backup your device so that if anything goes wrong you can recover your data.
Users in the above region can install the beta version through the Samsung members app. It is also available for the Galaxy S21 series in the above region irrespective of the chipset. Whether you have a device with the Qualcomm chipset or with the Exynos chipset you are eligible to install the beta version.
Download the Samsung Members app if you don’t have it.
Open the app and enter all your credentials like account ID and password.
You will see the One UI beta banner on the top. If you don’t see it then wait a little bit or visit the notice section of the app. The availability of the One UI 4 beta will vary depending on the region.
Click on the banner for the registration in the program.
Navigate the “Enroll” button and tap on it.
Once you tap on the Enroll button, head to your device’s setting app.
Search for the software update on the setting’s page.
You will see One UI 4 beta update based on Android 12 on the Software update page of your device.
Tap on download the update then install the update.
It will take some time to finish the process.
If you don’t see the new software update after enrolling in the beat program, then wait for few minutes and repeat the process.
