iQOO 15 Set to Launch on October 20 in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 7000mAh Battery

iQOO is gearing up to unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, on October 20 in China. Brand has already revealed some key specifications and design of the device, which looks very promising if priced aggressively.

The rear design of iQOO 15 is very much like its previous generation, with a left-top porthole-style circular camera module with an RGB light strip for a more performance-oriented touch. On the front, the smartphone features a 6.85-inch QHD+ flat OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and crisp clarity. The display also has LIPO tech for slimmer bezels all around. The new display boasts top-of-the-line specifications with LTPO OLED technology. The display will also have a 6000-nit peak brightness. The display is supplied by Samsung, and it is said that this is Samsung’s most premium display ever, so users can expect exceptional display quality from the iQOO 15.

More Details

Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. iQOO is also bringing its self-developed Q3 chip to enhance graphics processing, frame rates, and overall efficiency.

Battery capacity is also impressive, with leaks suggesting a massive 7000mAh battery paired with 100W fast charging and support for wireless charging.

On the imaging side, iQOO 15 will be a big upgrade compared to its predecessor, mainly because this generation has added a periscope sensor. The device will feature a triple camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP UW, and a 50MP 3x periscope sensor. Given that iQOO is Vivo’s sub-brand, we can expect the same flagship imaging algorithms from iQOO 15 as Vivo’s flagship phones.
