Motorola today announced the Motorola Edge 40 Pro for the European market. It is Motorola’s flagship device for 2023 and it competes with the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Xiaomi 13 devices. As the successor to last year’s Motorola Edge 30 Pro, it features a significant upgrade over it’s predecessor. Below are the detailed specifications.

It features a triple rear camera setup and a glass build. A big vertical camera island has three camera cutouts for each camera, as well as a cutout for a dual-tone LED flashlight.
On the front, it has a curved display, one of the best on the market right now. It features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with 165Hz fast refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut, 394 pixels per inch, HDR 10+ and Dolby vision.
On the front and back sides, there is a 3D curved glass corning gorilla glass victus for protection and an anti-fingerprint coating to prevent fingerprints. The top center of the display has a punch hole for the selfie camera.
This device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the latest and greatest flagship-grade chipset. In addition to the chipset, the device comes with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage.
The rear side of the smartphone features a triple camera system with a 50MP primary sensor and f/1.8 aperture, as well as optical image stabilization. Besides the primary sensor, the device has a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP portrait sensor. For selfies and video calls, the front camera has a 60MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. Rear cameras can record slow-motion videos at 120 frames per second and 8K video at 30 frames per second. Additionally, it has features such as Night vision, super slow motion, portrait mode, and time-lapse.
Motorola Edge 40 Pro comes with a 4600 mAh battery that supports 125W Turbo fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Out of the box, it runs nearly stock Android 13.
There are other features such as USB Type C, NFC, Dual-Sim support, Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 802.11, face unlock, accelerometers, gyroscopes, and IP68 water and dust resistance. It is priced at EUR 900 in the European Market.
