OPPO is already working on its next-generation foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N7, and new leaks have revealed key details about its chipset, battery, display, and possible design. According to a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming foldable is currently in the testing phase and could debut in the first quarter of 2027.
The latest leak suggests that the OPPO Find N7 is being tested with Qualcomm’s upcoming 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950) chipset. The device is also said to feature an on-device AI accelerator, hinting at enhanced AI-powered features and improved performance for future applications.
One of the biggest highlights of the leak is the battery. The engineering prototype is reportedly equipped with a 6,500mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries expected in a premium foldable smartphone. Digital Chat Station also revealed that OPPO is currently evaluating two different camera module designs. One prototype features a large circular camera island, while the other adopts a horizontal camera layout similar to the recent iPhone Air model. The tipster even asked followers which design they preferred, suggesting OPPO has not yet finalized the device’s rear camera design.
As per previous leaks, the OPPO Find N7 will feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch foldable inner display, continuing OPPO’s wide foldable form factor. The display panels are reportedly being supplied by Samsung Display (SDC) and BOE. The device is currently scheduled to be released in Q1 2027 in China, with a potential global launch as well around a similar time frame.
