The upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra is generating a lot of excitement among tech enthusiasts, thanks to new details about its advanced camera system. Just a day after the company confirmed the phone’s launch timeline, the first teaser has officially been revealed, showing impressive upgrades to its zoom capabilities.
According to Zhuo Shijie, product manager for the Find series at Oppo, the Find X9 Ultra will feature a Hasselblad-branded periscope telephoto camera capable of delivering 10x native optical zoom. The system offers a 230mm focal length for true optical zoom and can extend up to 460mm (20x) optical-quality zoom, allowing users to capture distant subjects with exceptional clarity.
The camera module is confirmed to use a custom 50MP Samsung JNL fusion sensor paired with an f/3.5 aperture and gimbal-level Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). This combination aims to improve stability and image quality, particularly when shooting at extreme zoom levels.

One of the most notable innovations in the Find X9 Ultra is its new five-reflection prism design. This advanced optical system shortens the internal light path to 29mm, compared to about 41mm in traditional L-shaped periscope camera systems. The shorter optical path allows for a more compact design while maintaining strong zoom performance.
To further enhance image quality, Oppo has introduced triple active optical calibration, which ensures precise alignment of optical components for sharper images. Additionally, the company has applied a special ND coating on the prism, helping to control light reflections and improve overall zoom clarity.
