Vivo X Fold 6 Launched With 200MP Camera and Massive 7,000mAh Battery in China

Vivo has officially launched its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the X Fold 6, in China. The new foldable aims to compete with premium rivals like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series and Oppo’s Find N lineup by bringing a refined design, powerful hardware, an advanced camera system, and one of the biggest batteries ever seen on a foldable phone.

Full Details

The Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch foldable OLED display with Samsung’s M14 luminescent material and a peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The outer display comes with improved nanocrystal glass protection, while the upgraded hinge is rated for up to 600,000 folds. The device also carries IP58/IP59 dust and water resistance ratings, offering better durability compared to many foldable competitors.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, a customised processor designed specifically for large foldable devices. Vivo claims it brings improved multitasking performance and smoother multi-window experiences.

However, the biggest highlight of the X Fold 6 is its camera setup. It comes with a 200MP primary camera using Samsung’s ISOCELL HPB sensor, paired with a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP 3x telephoto lens. Vivo has also introduced support for an external camera lens for the first time on its foldable lineup. The second-generation 200mm telephoto extender allows native 8.3x zoom shots and lossless 17x captures. The phone supports 4K 60fps video recording with Dolby Vision and includes AI-powered camera features.

Another major upgrade is the massive 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, making it one of the largest batteries in the foldable smartphone segment. The device also supports wireless charging.

On the software side, Vivo has enhanced its Origin Workbench multitasking system with more split-screen layouts and saved workspace options. AI features have also been added to improve file management and productivity.

Pricing

The Vivo X Fold 6 starts at 7,999 yuan (around Rs 1.10 lakh) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, while the top 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant costs 10,999 yuan (around Rs 1.52 lakh). It is available in Blue Hole, Salt Lake, Polar Night, and Black Gold colour options.
