Vivo is gearing up to release its X300 Series very soon in India. However, the most anticipated phone in the lineup, the Vivo X300 Ultra, is still in the development stage. According to a new leak from the renowned Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the device will push the imaging hardware to a whole new level. As per the tipster, the X300 Ultra will be the only Ultra smartphone in 2026 to feature dual 200MP cameras.
At the core of the X300 Ultra camera system is a custom 200MP 35mm main camera, reportedly based on Sony’s new 1/1.12-inch 200MP sensor. This large sensor promises exceptional low-light performance, higher dynamic range, and remarkable detail retention. Unlike other brands, Vivo has gone for a 35mm focal length, which is actually much closer to a traditional camera, and 35mm has always been a golden focal length for photography enthusiasts. Complementing the main camera is a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, measuring 1/1.28 inches in size, making it the largest ultra-wide sensor on a smartphone to date.
The standout feature, however, is the 200MP periscope telephoto lens, completing a powerful triple-camera arrangement. With this configuration, the X300 Ultra becomes the only smartphone boasting a dual 200MP system across both main and telephoto lenses, while still maintaining a trio of large, high-quality sensors. The tipster has also mentioned that early prototype units reportedly include advanced image-enhancement hardware, indicating that Vivo is pairing its sensor upgrades with new computational photography breakthroughs.
Launch Timeline
Vivo X300 Ultra is currently scheduled to release in Q1,2026 in China. However, unlike every year, the X300 Ultra is also rumoured for a global launch as well.
