Xiaomi has just announced its Xiaomi 17 Series smartphones in China. Now the brand is preparing to release its flagship smartphones in the global market as well as in the upcoming months. Now we already have a new leak from an X tipster who shared the details regarding the battery capacity of the Xiaomi 17 global variant.
As per his findings, the Xiaomi 17 will feature a 6330mAh battery in the global markets. While slightly smaller than the 7,000mAh unit on the Chinese variant, the global version still delivers a remarkable upgrade that should impress international users, especially considering the device’s compact 6.3-inch display. This marks a huge leap from the Xiaomi 15’s 5,240mAh battery, giving users nearly a 20% boost in capacity. Xiaomi 17 will also be paired with an upgraded 100W fast wired and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch flat display with an industry-leading screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is 8.06mm thin and weighs 191g. The bezels from all four sides are just 1.18mm thin, making it symmetrical. The display of Xiaomi 17 is also very luxurious, featuring brand new TCL’s M10 display material with a peak brightness of 3500 nits. The display also adopts a new large R angle design with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. The Xiaomi 17 has a 1.5k resolution screen. The display features 1-120Hz LTPO tech for better power consumption. The device also features Xiaomi’s self-developed Longjing glass for durability. The smartphone is also the first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The smartphone features a triple camera setup with a 1/1.31 50MP Light Hunter 950 sensor main camera paired with a 50 MP OV50M ultra-wide lens and a 50MP 1/2.76 JN5 2.6X telephoto macro lens. The cameras are co-engineered with Leica, featuring a brand new Leica Summilux Lens. Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 will also support an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner from Goodix. The front camera has a 50 MP resolution. The smartphone will also come with an IP66+IP68+IP69 high-level Dust and Waterproof certification.
