Xiaomi has recently launched its Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphone; however, it seems that the brand has some more devices in the pipeline for the Xiaomi 17 Series lineup. As per a famous Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station, the brand is working on another flagship smartphone likely to be called Xiaomi 17 Max.
As per the tipster, the Xiaomi 17 Max will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same cutting-edge processor that powers the rest of the 17 series, ensuring top-tier performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI-driven tasks. The device is expected to feature a 6.8- to 6.9-inch flat OLED display with slim bezels and LIPO technology, offering an immersive viewing experience for media, productivity, and gaming, all without a secondary rear screen seen on the Pro series.
However, the battery life will be a standout feature on the 17 Max, thanks to a massive 8,000 mAh battery that should easily power users through a full day (or more) of heavy use. The device also supports 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging options.
Xiaomi flagships are known to have exceptional imaging capabilities thanks to the ongoing Leica partnership. The Xiaomi 17 Max is no different, offering a triple 50 MP rear camera setup, with the same 50MP Light Fusion 950 primary sensor the same main shooter found in the standard Xiaomi 17, complemented by an advanced periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities and an ultrawide camera.
Overall, Xiaomi 17 Max is a slightly upgraded version of the base Xiaomi 17, featuring a massive battery and periscope camera. The launch is tentatively scheduled at the end of this quarter in China.
