After the successful launch of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra in China, Xiaomi is said to be developing another tablet. Along with other high-performance tablets, the company is now bringing out a potential flagship device with a large 12.5-inch LCD screen and incredibly fast 120W charging support. The Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that this new tablet was recently listed on China’s 3C certification site, where its charging specifications became clear.
Xiaomi Gears Up to Launch New 12.5-Inch Tablet
The large 12.5-inch display on this upcoming Xiaomi tablet is sure to impress. According to a tipster, the new model will not use the advanced OLED screen like its premium sibling, Pad 7 Ultra, but an ordinary LCD panel. Even though LCD screens are cost-effective, they have great color accuracy and brightness, so they are the right choice for mid-to-high-end devices.
Perhaps even more notable, the tablet is expected to offer 120W fast charging, another feature that is seen on Xiaomi’s most expensive Pad 7 Ultra. If it’s true, this would make charging your tablet much faster, so professionals and gamers spend less time waiting.
Even though the 3C listing doesn’t show all the specs, it hints that this will be a high-end device. Moreover, this tablet may share both design ID and some specs with the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra since they have a lot in common. Even so, the actual chipset is still unknown.
Strategic Expansion of Xiaomi’s Tablet Line

Recently, a report from Canalys showed that Xiaomi has become the third-largest tablet brand in the world. With its release of the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, the company showed it wants a bigger part of the top-tier tablet sector. Its unique XRING 01 chip, plus a large and detailed 3.2K OLED display, has made the Pad 7 Ultra stand out for tech enthusiasts. The new 12.5-inch tablet is thought to fit into the same strategy—delivering great specs at a price that more people can afford.
As of now, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the new tablet, nor has it disclosed any launch timeline. However, if the 3C certification is any indication, the device could debut in the coming weeks or months.
