After the successful launch of OPPO Find X9 Ultra, OPPO is developing its next-generation Ultra flagship internally. The upcoming OPPO Find X10 Ultra is generating excitement with a new leak suggesting an incremental upgrade in the super telephoto camera. As per Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, OPPO plans to improve one of the most unique features of its current Ultra series, which is the dedicated 10x optical zoom camera developed as part of its Hasselblad imaging system.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra has been positioned as one of the strongest camera smartphones of the year, competing closely with other photography-focused flagships such as the Vivo X300 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. While all three of them focus heavily on mobile photography, OPPO’s approach stands out with its true 10x optical telephoto camera, a feature that many competitors have moved away from. Samsung, for example, replaced the 10x zoom setup in its Galaxy S24 Ultra with a shorter-range telephoto solution.

However, the current 10x telephoto camera on the Find X9 Ultra has one limitation: its relatively small sensor. The 50MP 230mm periscope telephoto camera uses a 1/2.75-inch sensor, which delivers excellent zoom performance in good lighting but struggles compared with larger sensors, especially in night photography.
Now, as per the tipster, OPPO may address this weakness with the upcoming Find X10 Ultra. The 50MP sensor powering the 10x telephoto lens is reportedly being upgraded to a much larger 1/1.95-inch sensor. This increase in sensor size could significantly improve low-light performance, dynamic range, and overall image quality.
The exact sensor model remains unknown, but the leak suggests that OPPO will not use Sony’s LYT-600 sensor for this camera. Instead, the company appears to be exploring a different solution to maximize the capabilities of its long-range zoom system.
As the Find X10 Ultra is still far from its expected launch, these details should be considered early prototype information and may change before mass production. Still, the leaked upgrade indicates that OPPO is continuing to push smartphone photography forward.
