The new realme UI with Android 12 has some fascinating features such as fluid space design, 3D icons, theme engines, etc. Although it comes with many unique and beneficial features, it seems like the manufacturers have missed improving some core features that are very important in today’s era. It is the VoLTE. You can’t take or receive calls without this, , and not only that, but the internet bandwidth will also drop often. After the update, many people report having this issue with their smartphones. If you are one of them, here are some troubleshooting methods to fix the realme UI 3.0 Android 12 VoLTE not working.
You can also wait until developers release the patch, but it will take time. So, here are some methods that you can try.
Methods to fix Realme UI 3.0 Android 12 VoLTE Not Working
Method 1: Switch sim card slot
Like any other Android smartphone, the RealMe device also has two sim slots for using multiple sim cards simultaneously. With the new update, users can only use the volte feature for the sim card in the first lot. You can try to swap the SIM cards to fix the problem.
Method 2: Reset Access Point
If you’re facing failed calls on your device, it can be caused by the incorrect network configuration. You can try to reset the network settings to remove the simple glitches. Below are the steps for that:
First, go to the settings app
Head towards connection and sharing, and from there, you have to select the “reset Wi-Fi mobile networks and Bluetooth” option.
Select reset setting, and you are good to go
Method 3: Turn the airplane mode on and turn it off again
Toggle the airplane mode on and then toggle it off again. When you toggle on airplane mode, all the connections get disconnected. Your Cellular and Wi-Fi connection will be cut off. Wait for a few moments and toggle it on again. Now all of your connections will be restored. Check if the issue is resolved now.
Method 4: Manually Select Carrier
The Realme UI 3.0 update has a flaw. This cannot auto-select VoLTE networks. So, if this is the case with your phone, you can try to select a carrier to fix this issue manually. Follow the steps for that:
Go to the settings application of your phone
Navigate to Dual Sim and Mobile Network
Select the sim where you are facing the issue with VoLTE
Now you have to click on the carrier and disable the search automatically option
Now your device will search for all the available networks, and from the search result, you have to choose your carrier with VoLTE support.
Note – You have to do this process again if you reboot your phone.
Method 5: Toggle Guest Mode
Many users have mentioned that they have solved the issue by toggling the guest mode. According to them, enabling the guest mode on the device and then again turning it off is helping people to troubleshoot this matter. It is a temporary fix, but it can be your solution until developers find out the actual solution. Follow the steps below for that:
Go to settings and navigate to user and account
Go to multiple users and choose the guest mode option
Wait for a few minutes and tap on the administrator option or the owner option again
Note – You have to go through this method every time you reboot your phone.
Method 6: Downgrade to Android 11
As users face this issue after the Android update, you can try to downgrade to Android 11 ( the previous version) to solve this problem automatically.
Launch the file manager app
Open the phone memory and navigate to the rollback firmware file that would be present there in .OZIP format
After tapping on that file, you will be able to see the update system dialog box
Tap on the upgrade now button. Wait until the process finishes.
Users started reporting this problem on 8 march 2022, and as the realme developers gave a very quick response, they already started to work on this issue. You have to keep checking whether there are any pending updates available or not. The updated version will fix this issue.
