Infinix Note 12 VIP launched today with 120W fast charging, 120W higher refresh rate, and 108 MP camera. This marks the first time that Hong Kong-based Infinix launched a device with more than 100W fast charging. Along with the Note 12 VIP, the company also launched The Infinix Note 12 G96 which derives it’s name from Helio G96 – the processor it comes with.
Here are the detailed specifications of both these devices.
Infinix Note 12 VIP specifications:
The device comes with a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 2400*1080 pixels resolution, 120 Hz fast refresh rate, and a 360 Hz touch sampling rate. The device has a screen-to-body ratio of 93.1 percent with minimal bezels on the top and the bottom.
Infinix Note 12 VIP is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. There are also extended RAM options through which users can expand the device RAM to up to 5GB using internal storage.
The highlighting feature of this device is a 108 MP primary camera with an f/1.75 aperture on the rear side. The primary camera is paired with a 13 MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16 MP selfie shooter on the top center of the display in a punch-hole cutout.
Another highlighting feature is that it comes with a 120W HyperCharge fast charging technology that can charge it’s 4500 mAh dual battery cell in just 17 minutes. After Oppo and Xiaomi, Infinix becomes the third OEM to launch a device with a 120W fast charging technology.
The device runs on the company’s own custom X OS ROM based on Android 12 out of the box. Other features include a nine-layer graphene cooling system that cools down the device when dealing with heavy tasks, dual speakers which provide a 360-degree surround sound, and a dual X-axis motor for tactile haptics while gaming. It comes in two colors i.e., Force Black and Cayenne Grey and is priced at $299 for the 8GB + 256GB storage variant.
Infinix Note 12 G96 Specifications:
The Note G96 boasts a 6.7-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 2400*1080 pixel resolution, 85.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and a 393 PPI. There is no mention of the display refresh rate from the company so there are chances that this device might come with a standard 60 Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood is the same MediaTek Helio G96 chipset paired with the 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. The RAM can be expanded up to 5GB through the extended RAM feature.
Another difference between the two devices is in the optics. It also features a triple rear camera system but in this device there is a 50 MP primary shooter with f/1.6 aperture paired with a 2 MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a QVGA sensor. The primary sensor can record 1440p videos at 30fps. On the front is a 16 MP selfie shooter placed in a slightly old-fashioned u-shaped notched on the top center of the display.
It is equipped with a big 5000 mAh battery but with only 33W fast charging. It also comes with a 10-layer graphene cooling system, dual speaker, and linear motor for haptics. Infinix Note 12 G96 comes in three colors i.e., Snowfall, Sapphire blue, and Force black and it’s price starts at $199 for the base 8GB + 128GB storage variant.
