A leak from an Xbox watcher revealed the official name of Microsoft’s upcoming group Game Pass plan – as the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan.
Previously when Microsoft confirmed it as a family plan, it didn’t mention allowing friends to share this subscription. But with their addition, it’s seemingly worth paying $25 a month for the new Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan.
A Game Pass Plan For Sharing With Everyone
Microsoft has long been adamant about letting it’s Xbox Game Pass subscribers share the account with others, which is quite understandable. But with people doing it anyway, and to compete better against it’s rivals, Microsoft is finally formalizing the sharing of one Xbox Game Pass account with multiple people.
And this is through the new Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan. Microsoft confirmed earlier this month that the new plan would allow sharing a Game Pass account with family members of upto 5 people. But it didn’t mention including friends in that statement.

But Aggiornamenti Lumia – a well-known watcher of Xbox and Windows, shared this from the branding leaks of this new subscription. The new Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan has all the benefits of Game Pass Ultimate, except that it costs $25 a month.
And it’s so reasonable since Microsoft lets you share the account legally with four other people – be they friends or family members. Provided that they all belong to the same country. The new plan includes hundreds of games across Xbox, PC, mobile devices, the web, and soon smart TVs, from top-notch game studios like EA, Ubisoft, Xbox Game Studios, and Bethesda.
