Motorola is Reportedly Working on Two RAZR Phones for 2023

New reports suggest that Lenovo-backed Motorola is coming with two foldable smartphones next year and is hoping to take a part of Samsung’s share in this segment.

Even though Moto’s initial foldable phones with the RAZR brand failed, the company seems to have better plans now. Though the technical specifications of these upcoming handsets are unknown, we expect them to be competitive.

Capturing the Samsung’s Market Share

For a long and now, Samsung is reigning as the top brand in the Android smartphone space. And there are a number of reasons for it’s superiority that helped it excel in all ways possible. One among them is the foldable smartphones – which have two line-ups as Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series.

Both have been equally competitive and have been the first choices for anyone looking for a foldable phone these days. They offer a compact form factor when folded and a large screen like a tablet when opened. And with high-end specifications inside, there’s no wonder they’re chosen first.

Well, to end Samsung’s superiority and capture its lion’s share, Motorola is aiming to launch two RAZR-branded smartphones next year, as per new reports. The Lenovo-backed company has itself been bankrupt many times and was shared by a number of parent companies till now.

Yet, Motorola isn’t quitting in the smartphone space and even trying to strive for better. The company announced the first RAZR foldable in 2019, which failed due to it’s outdated hardware and high price. And then there’s the second version RAZR – which too had failed even with lesser pricing.

But Motorola is not quitting and they’re coming with two foldables next year. These are codenamed Juno and Venus, as per the reports. Though we don’t have any technical specifications yet, we expect them to be competitive in both hardware and pricing to stand better against Galaxy foldables.

Whatever the case could be, Samsung should be well prepared for the rising competition in this space. Though it’s still early with a brand image and reigning as the leader now, other OEMs are keen to take part in this profitable industry. We heard that Oppo is making a foldable phone of it’s own, and we expect it to be highly competitive, considering it’s Chinese nature.
