As announced in September this year, Apple has finally brought in the Fitness Plus service to users without an Apple Watch.
Users with any iPhone compatible to run the upcoming iOS 16.1 can now enroll in Apple Fitness Plus and access it’s services. These include thousands of workout and meditation modes, performance trackers, and even music from top artists! Here’s more about it;
Apple Fitness Plus Service
As promised last month, Apple is unbundling it’s Fitness Plus service from Apple Watch, and it will be opened to anyone with an iPhone, iPad, or an Apple TV in 21 countries. The company said it’d be included in the iOS 16.1 – which is scheduled to arrive on October 24th.
So make sure your device runs the latest software to experience Fitness Plus. Once eligible, head onto App Store, download it, and enroll in programs. There are over 3,000 workout and meditation modes – mostly led by experts and popular artists in their fields.
Some of them include an exercise program called “Yoga for Every Runner,” hosted by marathon athlete Scott Jurek and Yoga trainer Jessica Skye. And then there’s the inspiring audio for walking from the artist Meghan Trainor and astronaut Eileen M. Collins.
The Fitness Plus app displays on-screen data like interval timing, calories burned, and more for easy performance tracking. Although, these are better displayed on Apple Watch since it can directly track you. Finally, there’s music in Fitness Plus, too, from various artists.
Apple managed to include the upcoming Taylor Swift music album – Midnights, releasing on October 21. So if you want to grab all of these, be ready for the update and enroll/register in Fitness Plus when available.
Apple is providing a 3-month free trial of the service for anyone purchasing a new iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. After the trial ends, you should pay $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year.
