After long anticipation, POCO has officially confirmed that its POCO X8 Pro series will launch in India on March 17, 2026, alongside the global debut event. The lineup will include two models, POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max.
POCO has officially announced that the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset will power the POCO X8 Pro. This processor is designed to deliver strong performance and improved power efficiency.
Meanwhile, the premium POCO X8 Pro Max will feature the powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500S processor, delivering a significant leap in speed, efficiency, and AI performance. It is built using TSMC’s advanced N3e process. The chip features a cutting-edge all-large-core CPU architecture, focusing solely on high-performance cores, delivering top-tier performance while significantly improving power efficiency. The primary core reportedly clocks up to 3.73GHz.
The smartphone’s design is also revealed, featuring a dual-camera setup with an RGB ring around the camera module. Both smartphones feature a premium design with a glass back and metal frame. However, the most highlighted feature of these phones is the battery capacity. POCO X8 Pro Max may feature a massive 9000mAh battery, making it the largest battery ever in a POCO smartphone, whereas the X8 Pro will have a 6500mAh battery.
