Xiaomi’s Sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch a new budget device in the Indian market, the Redmi 15 5G. The brand has officially announced that the device will debut on 19th August 2025, featuring ground groundbreaking battery in a slim form factor.
More Details
The new Redmi 15 5G is going to feature a massive 6.9-inch LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate, the best refresh rate in its price segment. The large display also enhances productivity by providing ample screen space for multitasking and viewing content. Whether you’re working or enjoying media, the high refresh rate and vibrant colors make for a premium viewing experience.
Hiding behind the hood is the Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 processor, which finds a reasonable combination of performance and efficiency. It is expected that the phone will offer up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
As for the imaging side, the Redmi 15 5G offers a 50MP main camera, which is expected to be a Sony LYT-600 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). The sensor size of 1/1.95 inches can ensure pretty good-looking, crisp shots and night photos. As for secondary camera specifications, it’s currently unknown, but as per the teaser image, we can expect an Ultrawide sensor.

The battery is the main highlight of this device, featuring a massive 7000mAh battery packed into what the company claims is the slimmest phone with such a large battery. This massive battery promises extended usage for over two days on a single charge.

What sets it apart further is the support for 18W reverse charging, allowing the phone to function as a power bank to charge other devices, a handy feature for users on the go. The smartphone will be available in three elegant color variants- Midnight Black, Frosted White, and Sandy Purple.
