REDMI has officially announced the release of its most powerful smartphone, the REDMI K90 Max, which is expected to debut by the end of this month. Interestingly, this device marks a major change in branding strategy, as the company replaces its traditional “Ultra” naming with the new “Max” title for the first time in the K-series lineup.
The REDMI K90 Max is designed with hardcore gamers in mind, pushing boundaries in both performance and thermal management. At its core, the smartphone is powered by the latest Dimensity 9500 chipset. This next-generation silicon promises a significant leap in performance, delivering approximately 32% improvement in single-core and 17% gains in multi-core tasks.
One of the standout features is its active cooling system, which is a first for any Xiaomi smartphone. The device includes an 18.1mm cooling fan with a 1.3x larger air intake, ensuring efficient heat dissipation even during extended gaming sessions. Despite the powerful cooling hardware, the system maintains a remarkably low noise level of just 32 dB, making it both effective and unobtrusive. Impressively, despite the inclusion of moving components, REDMI has confirmed that the device supports IP66/IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. The teaser poster has also revealed that the REDMI K90 Max will feature a 165Hz ultra refresh rate display.
