Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Debuts with Advanced 200MP LOFIC 3.0 Sensors and Redesigned Periscope Camera

The upcoming Xiaomi 18 Pro series is shaping up to be a major leap in smartphone imaging. According to a new leak from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi 18 Pro series will debut with a brand-new 200MP 1/1.28-inch SmartSens sensor featuring LOFIC 3.0 (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) architecture, designed to dramatically improve HDR performance and dynamic range.

LOFIC HDR 3.0 enables the sensor to capture more detail in both bright highlights and deep shadows simultaneously, reducing overexposure and enhancing clarity in complex lighting conditions.

Another major highlight of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series is the new redesigned periscope telephoto camera. According to current New Product Introduction (NPI) information, Xiaomi is moving to a 200MP periscope sensor with an 85mm fixed focal length. This marks a notable shift from the previous generation, which featured a 50MP sensor with a longer 115mm focal length. This 200MP 85mm periscope camera can also do a 15cm minimum focusing distance, which is suitable for taking good macro photos as well.

Overall, the dual 200MP setup of Xiaomi 18 Pro Series could significantly enhance both standard photography and long-range imaging capabilities.
