REDMI Note 17 Confirmed With 7-Inch OLED Display and Massive 8,000mAh Battery Ahead of July 14 Launch

REDMI has officially confirmed several key specifications of the upcoming REDMI Note 17. The device is set to launch in China on July 14 alongside the REDMI Note 17 Pro, bringing notable upgrades to the brand’s most popular mid-range lineup.

The biggest highlight of the REDMI Note 17 is its 7-inch OLED display, making it the largest screen ever featured on a REDMI Note smartphone. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offers up to 1,200 nits of global brightness, and includes multiple eye protection technologies for a more comfortable viewing experience during extended usage.

Another highlight is a huge 8,000mAh battery. REDMI has also confirmed support for 45W wired fast charging along with 22.5W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to double as a power bank for other compatible devices.

The company has also unveiled a new Meteor Purple colour option, featuring a textured rear panel inspired by meteor trails across the night sky. On the camera front, the smartphone is confirmed to feature a 50MP primary rear camera and a potential 8MP ultrawide sensor.

According to recent benchmark listings, the REDMI Note 17 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. Meanwhile, the higher-end REDMI Note 17 Pro is rumoured to feature the newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor and a massive 9,000mAh battery, with REDMI also promising a five-year battery replacement guarantee for the Pro model.
