Global fans have been waiting for the Xiaomi 17 Series global launch ever since the device went on sale in China a few months back. However, the most anticipated smartphone of the line-up is yet to launch, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its most anticipated flagship in China next month. Now, a reliable source on X has shared a fresh image of the photography kit of Xiaomi 17 Ultra, confirming that the device will debut with a triple camera setup.Â
From the leaked visuals, the phone’s circular camera module looks strikingly similar to that of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. However, unlike the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which has a quad camera setup, the 17 Ultra will have a triple camera setup.
The photography kit shown alongside the device matches the phone’s aesthetic, available in elegant beige/gold and classic black. The back panel also appears to feature a textured finish, offering both improved grip and a more premium feel. The kit includes physical buttons and controls, suggesting a DSLR-like experience for users who want more tactile interaction when adjusting camera settings.
Photography Powerhouse
The photography is the main highlight of this device. Xiaomi 17 Ultra will feature a large main camera sensor, which was previously leaked to be 1 inch with an f/1.6 aperture and LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology, which is a next-gen imaging innovation designed to improve light handling and minimize glare. The new sensor is also said to have the industry’s highest dynamic range value.
The star of the setup, however, is a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens designed for medium- and long-range zoom. With an effective aperture near f/8.6, it’s expected to deliver sharp, high-contrast images even at longer focal lengths. The tipster has also mentioned Xiaomi’s exclusive full-lens optical system, likely to be a continuous optical zoom system, which will also debut here. The third camera will be a 50MP JN5 Ultrawide sensor.
